Our development centre sessions are structured to improve players Technically, Tactically, Physically and Socially. Our Development centre sessions are held at Goals, Black Country, Darlaston, WV14 7BL. Our teams train at Wolverhampton College, Bilston Campus, WV14 6BT
Training sessions are once a week and League games are every weekend during September and May with non game weeks during the school half term periods.
The cost of registration fees and other associated costs vary from club to club. Typically it will cost between £5 & £10 for a grassroots football training session. Our Development centre sessions are priced at £7 weekly or £25 monthly.
There are lots of benefits to your child participating in grassroots football. There are the physical benefits of being physically active. There is also a great social side to grassroots football with many lifelong friendships starting at grassroots football cubs and teams.
Your child will need clothing suitable for playing football, Football boots and/or Trainers suitable for Astro-Turf.
At AFC Wolves children can train with us from the age of 5 (School year reception) however children can not play league games until they are 7

Each league and tournament will operate with different variations of rules. to find out a specific league or tournaments rules head to that leagues website. Links to the Football Association and the Walsall league can be found on our website
No, your fees will not be affected and there is no fines or charges for missing training or games. Subscription fees are set at the beginning of each season and do not change if your child misses a training session or a game.
Grassroots football is well known for improving confidence, people skills, discipline, motivation, adaptability amongst many other things.
There may be fundraising events held by the club and/or Teams. Plus kit and equipment cost. However there is no obligation to buy club kit and/or equipment
Parents are permitted to watch training sessions. We ask that all parents stay off the training field as this area is permitted for Players and Coaches only. this is put in place to help safeguard our players.
You can buy football boots from our shop. We recommend players wear molded studs or trainers suitable for astro turf. these types of footwear are known as AG (All Ground) and FG (Firm Ground)
